Reflections

A grief support group for adults who have lost a loved one through death. Sponsored by Trinity Hospice Loss & Grief Program.

Dreamcatchers

A grief support group for children ages 7-14 who have lost a loved one through death. A concurrent parent-guardian group is also offered, so that the adults can address their own grief issues as well as those of their children. Sponsored by Trinity Hospice Loss & Grief Program.

A Beacon of Hope

The grief groups are set up to assist people to identify and work with the different components of their grief, so that they can move through the complex feelings and reactions that are part of this very painful but normal human process. The groups provide a safe and supportive place where bereaved persons can review and mourn their losses. All groups meet at Underwood Memorial Hospital. Call the Bereavement Coordinator at Lighthouse Hospice 888-467-7423 to register. (Meetings are based on the number of group participants.) 
 

Helping Other People Evolve

(H.O.P.E.) This group provides support for the recently widowed with four different ten-week sessions. Each year starting in January, April, July, and October. Widow & Widowers

This group meets the second Tuesday of the month at 2 pm at the Mullica Hill Library, Wolfert Station Rd. and Rte. 45. For information, call 856-467-0032 or contact Charles Wingate 856-468-6434 or Robert Sloat 856-769-2716.

    For younger adults coping with the death of a spouse or partner. 
  • Big Hurts, Little Tears
    A play group for 3-to-5 year-olds who have been affected by a loss.

    Age-appropriate school-based groups for children who have experienced the death of a loved one.

Genesis Counseling Center
Genesis Centers is a nonprofit organization that believes in the possibility of growth and transformation for every individual. It is their mission to provide the therapeutic support, care and education to aid people in reaching their goals while they manage their symptoms of grief. Camps for Children

Camp Erin
Camp Erin is a grief camp designed for children ages 6-17 who have experienced a death of a loved one. It is a traditional, fun, high-energy camp combined with grief education and emotional support. Camp Erin is a weekend, overnight camp. Activities begin after school on Friday and finish early afternoon on Sunday. Support from The Moyer Foundation along with community fundraising provides the support necessary for operating costs so Camp Erin will always be free of charge to grieving children who apply. Camp Firefly
This overnight camp is open to children ages 7-14 who have lost a parent, sibling or any special person through death and are still coping with grief. The program will be fully funded by The Hospice of Moorestown VNA and its sponsors, and will be available at no charge to registered participants. This summer Camp Firefly will be at Camp Ockanickon, Medford NJ. This three-day, two night camp will start on Saturday, August 25, and conclude on Monday, August 27, 2007.
